Advertising - J&SO

ABOUT
The J&SO (Jewellery and Small Objects) Collective is an 18-year-old university club at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. The Collective are an engaging and supportive group for lovers of metal work, running market stalls and events for students apart of the collective to sell their work.
WHY
As they navigate the challenges of trying to make a name for themselves outside of the university, they required a sophisticated design for advertising. They needed an A-frame and business card that were able to connect them with the industry and create opportunities for members in the collective, as they currently had no way of signposting who they were at stalls outside of the uni. The university are also slowly but surely cutting funding to the J&SO studio and classes, so it was essential to the Collective to have advertising that echoes the quality work students produce to keep the stall running.
HOW
In order to reach a wider audience, the J&SO Collective needed a simplistic design yet one that was able to reflect the proficiency and high quality of the student work they sell. The inclusion of the student work was essential as it was able to directly show the professionalism and attention to detail that students selling their work had. The A-frame encourages people to look into more of the work students and invites them to reach out and support these artists.
